he won with team he wrote the rules for, dunno why you are impressed with that, being able to remove 2 skills of your choice from every opponent is massive for vamps

obviously still must have played well, but i'm no more surprised he won with vamps than he usually does with amazons considering the veto rules

he has come a long way from when he used them at the dutch open though ;]

maybe you should try some more teams joe!

congrats geoff, leon's third place with chaos is more impressive though ;p

wtf at 5-1 though, rolled blitzes for fun again?

Don't worry Peter, your Vamp wins were without handicaps. We know who the real #1 is.

Need to check a couple of results for NAF:

I've got a draw between Thomas McCart and Darren (zedsdead) in round 2 but I don't know the TDs.
Geoff beat Stick. I think it was 3-0 but its not written on the slip so wanted to check.

Cheers
Joe

Question for Geoff: are vamps still "such a sack of shit that I nearly threw my beautifully painted team against the wall"?
Lol - not any more now that they've removed the utterly frustrating "must change to move action". That, and I reckon they only really work at 1.12 TV and above and must be front loaded skills

Grum: stop trolling ;-) One blitz rolled - and Bren scored from it.

Wins with vampires is wins with vampires.

If the ruleset was so totally slanted in their favour then how come nobody else took them? If they only realised it was slanted afterwards... shame on them. Or shame on them for not going ;) Seriously, shame on you grum for not turning up, beating the crap out of Geoff, and rescuing my ranking :(

Thanks to all for a good weekend, and congrats to all the winners.

Anyone winning in that field is impressive. Vampires were a decent-good team in the rules, but I'm not sure that it's worth the fallout, I thought CDs were boss and I couldn't do it, afterall.

My highlights were Geoff's drunken 'back in the day' Warhammer tournament stories, Paul's insistence that I must be on drugs, and the totally legal KA drag race (it was legal, they're KAs) on the way home that I let Jim win. Good times. ;)

Thanks everyone for an ace weekend, and well done Porritt on the result. I think it's a sign that the rules pack works that vampires had to ability to win and chaos also had a good showing.

I crushed you in that drag race Phil!

5-1? I dont know what all the fuss is about :o :o :o :puke:

It must've been Daddy Power, that's all I can say (congrats again Geoff and Andrea!!).

As Geoff says, his blitz turned out to be my match highlight and only TD! Full post mortem to follow ;)

Other than this headline-grabbing result ;) I had four other great games. Cheers Ben, Nips, Stick, Jeeves (and Geoff of course :( ;) ).

Nice cosy-feeling tourney. Well done JTY and co - organising a huge multisystem event must be hard work.

Geoff has been allowed to...BREED :o! Oh my word, this could be horrendous. <looks into the future and sees a Blood Bowling Boys from Brazil scenario. Little Porritt mini-mes everywhere, powergaming their way to the top. Aiiiiii!> ;)

More seriously, congratulations on your performance, Geoff. To achieve what you did given what you were using is an impressive feat :D

And well done on winning the tournament, too.... ;)
