Belgian Championship / Belgian Open - 6 & 7 March 2010

Post by Quermitt »

Last year we organized the first Belgian Championship ever in Sint-Niklaas with Uriel (Turnhout Trasher League) going home with the trophy.

We decided this tourney should become some kind of "travelling circus" by organizing it somewhere else each year to keep people involved and give everyone the chance to play a home game once in a while.

This year the choice went to Leopoldsburg in the east of Belgium, date has been set on the 6th of March for the preselections and the 7th of March for the play-offs and the Belgian Open side event.

Last year we held it "private", only allowing Belgians, but this time we have thrown it open to anybody to come and witness the great atmosphere!

What we have in store for you on the Saturday pre-selections?

- FOUR games played
- NAF sanctioned, Swiss pairing
- TR 110
- Skills (bit complicated): two normal skills on random players after round 1, one normal skill on chosen player after round 2, one "double" on chosen player after round 3
- NAF trophy for the best placed coach after round 4

The best eight Belgians qualify for the play-offs to be played on Sunday the 7th, but the fun doesn't have to end there for everyone else! On Sunday we will organize the Belgian Open side event where you have new chances of acquiring eternal fame and glory!

- Three games played
- You can use a different race than the one used on the Saturday
- TR 110
- Two skills on random players before each game

Hope we can greet a lot of foreign players in this tournament which boasts SEVEN games over the weekend with the possibility of playing two different races, chances of winning two NAF shields, chance to meet with the bigger part of the Belgian Blood Bowl scene, etc.

If you are interested, let us know at seb@bbbf.be or by replying to this thread. Any questions? Same route to follow I'd suggest!

Cheers!
