And you have my full sympathy in opting for the Dutch Open in that case of course! I understand for 200% that the DO and the Midwinter Madness are very close by timewise and hope people don't drop out on the DO because of the Midwinter Madness or vice versa.
Still I do hope you can persuade your girlfriend though ...

Unfortunately I cannot attend the DO this year. An organisation Joke (my lovely wife) is part of the organising committee has its annual weekend on the very same weekend as the DO ...
So the choice is to either go with her and she will not complain about the other weekends that I am away or not go with her and have those privileges prevoked ...
Well at least you ahve a choice there, more or less. Giving up 1 tournament but being able to play "the rest", even if that tournament means the DO, isnt that bad of a trade...??
Perhaps till some other tournament in A'dam then. Or any other place...
hmm, I just booked my shoulder surgey on the 12th of january so if I by then can:
* roll the dice with my left hand
* not have so much pain that I'm seeing double from the Vicodyn
* get someone to drive me there and pick me up afterwards
* get someone to help me open the milk thingies for in my coffee

Well, it seems I can't take the full monday off (propably only the morning), but I'll be present... and as the nutter that I am, I'll be bringing my Goblin team with me.
