Thunderbowl is teaming up with Vancouver elite tournament planners U2KR (urge to kill rising) to showcase Blood Bowl at U2KR Games Arena 2009. Games Arena is $30 CAD for both days, where participants can choose one of 4 tournaments to enter:

01. Thunderkrunch - Blood Bowl.
02. Warhammer Fantasy Battle.
03. Warhammer 40,000.
04. Magic the Gathering.

Thunderkrunch is a 5-game swiss style tournament with skill progression like the Spike Magazine. For Thunderkrunch we will be introducing the Free Card Option on pg. 27 of the LRB 5 to allow 200K worth of cards per coach per game. It should add to the fun, we'll see.

I added the list of pre-registered coaches so far. We'll have more sign ups over the weekend at our scheduled May Game Day, so sign up soon at www.U2KR.com. We have 30 slots available, but nobody will be turned away at the door.

Still 2 weeks away. Would love to see some more cross border action from our Bloodbrothers in the south.

For those of you in B.C. who didn't get a chance to attend Thunderkrunch @ U2KR Games Arena missed out. 4 gaming systems under one roof was a blast, and we are looking forward to backing up U2KR in future when Games Arena enters it sophomore year and beyond.

We are hoping to host future Games Arenas in February from now on, with date for U2KR GA 2010 happening the weekend before the Vancouver Olympics. So if you can't make the Spike this year or next, be sure to try and make it out to this one if you are from out of town and plan to visit Vancouver for the Olympic Games.
