S.Ch.Wi.N.G. update

Post by Fat_Emrys »

There are four teams competing for the inaugural "Most Casualties That Should Have Counted But Are Being Disallowed" award - three goblin and one ogre - and muggins is last with just the one chainsaw casualty in three games.

Rab has the overnight lead with 4 (three of which he got against yours truly in the Sudbury Chainsaw Massacre in game 2 and the other I understand came in a duelling chainsaws clash against the ogres).

My quest for the Wooden Spoon is well and truly on, folks. Let the SChWiNGing continue unabated!

Edit: Congratulations to Paul Emery of HEBBL (don't know if he's a TBBer) who walked away with the SChWiNG certificate with, I think, 6 or 7 casualties that should have counted but were being disallowed. I found it rather amusing to hear random shouts of "SChWiNG!" (usually from Rab) as another opponent was introduced to a chainsaw or bomb over the two days.

Thanks guys for the great organisation, especially the barbie on Saturday and the delivery to table of drinks.

Just about recovered from last turn TD's to lose the final two games and finish 2 - 2 - 2.

Thanks to all who organised it, one of the (possibly the) best tourneys I've been to. Sun, fun, free food and beer, got to finally play Lycos (I let him win ), joined the ranks of those who have 'been munsoned', met a whole bunch of folks who I only knew online, re-met a bunch from previous tourneys, very smoothly run with enough break between games to grab a drink and chat, but not so much to lose momentum.

Very well done indeed, S.A.D.

Now next time, I want you to organise for me to win more games, you hear!

You were the first coach to clear the pitch against me (but, alas, not the last). What more can you want?! :-)

I'd like to echo all the earlier congratulations and thanks. Other than the results it was a great first tourney for me and I'm looking at the threads to pick my next one.

A brilliant weekend and if other tournaments are half as good, I'm hooked.

thanks for the kind words, i think me and rodders had a great weekend as well, still can't get over the fact we had 40 guys!

Just to let you know the guy(Brian) that did the BBQ was the chairman of the wargames club and he got 2nd degree burns from picking up a hot pan. I went to drop the keys off to him on sunday night and he was back down the hospital having it redressed.

Here's a screen shot of the results. well done to pippy

Pgoo, were you using the legendary 'worst nurgle team in the world' as sold by the wonderful Sizzling Gromril?

Looks like everyone had a splendid time.... Curious lack of variety in the top ten... (with the notably awesome exception of Chamber's Halflings!).... Any thoughts on why?
