HQ Bowl 2008, September 20-21, Sint-Niklaas (Belgium)

Who will be the next HQ Bowl Champions? Who will take the title from team TTL, or will they make it two in a row?

When:
* September 20th and 21st 2008

Where:
* HQ Gaming Club, Moerlandstraat 186, 9100 Sint-Niklaas, Belgium

What:
* Team Tournament (three coaches per team, every coach plays a different race)
* NAF Sanctioned
* TV 110 (no inducements, star players, wizards, etc. allowed. Halflings can purchase a Masterchef for 100.000gps)
* LRB 5
* 5 rounds (3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday)
* swiss pairing (both teams and coaches)

skill allocation:
* after game 1: two normal skills on two different random players
* after game 2: one normal skill on one chosen player (not one of the players who received a skill earlier)
* after game 3: two normal skills on two different random players (these players may have received a skill before)
* after game 4: one "doubles" skill on one chosen player (this player may have received a skill before)

Prizes:
* top 3 teams
* individual winner
* most TDs
* most CAS
* best painted
* spot prizes
* wooden spoon

Timetable:
Saturday September 20th:
* Registration: 9.30-10.15
* Round 1: 10.30 - 12.30
* Round 2: 14.00 - 16.00
* Round 3: 16.30 - 18.30
Sunday September 21st:
* Round 4: 11.00 - 13.00
* Round 5: 14.00 - 16.00
* Prize Ceremony: 16.30

Registration:
* in this topic, or via PM. When you know who your teammates are, you can already send their names. Then we know how many spare players we need to make sure that every team is complete.
* 10€ for a weekend of fun
* Every participant gets the HQ Bowl cd. The first 20 coaches who register and pay, get to choose a song for our cd (the maximum length of the song is 3 minutes). Send me the song via PM, so it stays a surprise which songs are on the cd.
* Foreign coaches can always contact me if they need a place to stay. I'll see what I can do.

Pelle, did you make it 6 rounds instead of 5 this year? I think Madhobbit will be present again this year... hopefully with two teams again. Team A will beat the TTL guys this year!

Nice, that cd-idea!

But it is still 5 rounds?

I'm really trying to be there, but i'm also planning on going to Russia in September, so that might get in the way of attending this tournament.

We might squeeze in a 6th round, but this al depends on the number of attending coaches.
And Russia? There is no Duvel in Russia, so don't go there. Or make sure you leave after the tourney

I haven't got a clue if it will be in the same composition, but surely the delegation from Turnhout will be one to be reckoned with once again!

I am pretty sure that Tom, Maïté and me will be there to defend our wooden spoonS..........hehe great tourney last year so why not....You can count Maïté and me in.......And I am sure Tom will follow rapidly......
