I myself would like to know when this is decided, as I really want to do the Chaos Cup next year. What kind of dates would you be looking at?

Given that this year's Spike Open 2007 was a summer tournament and happened on the Canada Day Long weekend (June 30th & July 1st), we were thinking of keeping it in the summer as well.

Possibly on the B.C. day long weekend, Saturday August 2, and Sunday August the 3rd 2008.

Either way, Thunderbowl is going to host a tournament this year whether it's the Spike or one of our own making.

2008 represents the tenth anniversary of Thunderbowl. 17 seasons later, and over 900 recorded games, it's about time we get off our lazy butts and hosted a tournament.

I would love to see some out of towners come out to the west coast for this thing. I'd love to play against some 'Blood Bowl' regulars like yourself Grumbledook. Would like to see you too Valen.

Guaranteed you will be dazzled. The terrain is going to be awesome.

Sorry about the lateness of this update but GW Canada just went through an organizational change and changed Community Managers. The GCN also went through some changes over the last few months with restructuring, and so we only finally got the nod this morning.

This year's Spike! Magazine Trophy will be hosted by Thunderbowl on the B.C. Day long weekend - Saturday, August 2nd, and Sunday, August the 3rd in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Spike 2008 will be a 7-game Swiss Style tournament with Spike-replica trophies being presented to all the winners. More details, such as venue and our Spike Open website to be posted within the next few days. Hope to see you for the last major tournament of the year.

Gj.

Like all Tournaments, TV starts and stays at the rookie level: TV100. There is no skill progression or permanent effects like death as each team resets in between games, but we will be having an advancement aspect during the tournament that will be explained in the future pdf. Stay tuned.

Whoo hoo!

I'm totally stoked for this guys! I just started getting back into BB, and now we're having one of the major Tournaments here? It's a sign from Khaine, obviously... now I just have to make the appropriate sacrifices and I'm sure to win!

I'm in the same boat. Hope to confirm soon and start doing some damage with my brush.

Also, out of towners should let us know when they're coming so we show them around.
