Back from the void and eager to play!

Post by JetSwan »

Hi! I'm Oscen, I used to frequent this forum a long time ago and now I'd like to rejoin and relearn Blood Bowl. :D
You may remember me as 'Inkpwn' but that was a lifetime ago, I'm a very different person now and I would like to distance myself from those old post.
After a chat with Frank, the lovely organizer of Thrudbowl, I'd love to get some mini's and join in a league sometime. I do miss the time spent with old friends like Glowworm, Buggrit, Nazgob, Dave (yay Team chaos!), Thadrin, Diamond Joe, Lunchmoney and the rest (there's a lot of you x).
I'm currently native to Bath UK, I'm on a shoestring budget so borrowing a team for a league or tournament would be great. Has their been many changes since LRB6? Are PDF's of any changes freely available?

My skill level when I was playing was lower than average but I have a burning passion for miniatures and art.
If anyone can reccomend a nice looking budget team for me to save up for I'd love to know, I would also prefer to support indie studios rather than GW, oh, and dice, I need dice.

Can't wait to hear from you, I hope you all have a wonderful day and don't forget to kick Nuffle straight in the teeth. :D

Good to see you again, ;)

The LRB6/Icepelt is still useable. There's a thread in General Chat listing the changes to BB2016; there aren't many and the game is basically the same.

Near to Bath is Bubba and friends in Bristol - not sure if there's anything in Bath itself.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Hi!

Yeah BUBBA is still going strong, at least one of the guys lives in Bath and I'd travel over from Keynsham.

Pigmar a games club in Bath used to have some BB'ers but the scene there was never strong. They used to meet at the Conservative Club on London Rd but its been years since I've been along.

I can definite my lend you minis and whatever else you might need. Naz comes up for league games pretty regularly.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.
