P.S. My team name is the Grunburg Grumps. They're a human team.
What can I do to beat my dad more?

Hello bluukid! The quickest learning curve is to play lots on fumbbl.com, you can play lots of games very quickly, get good, and then beat your dad. Also, watch games, and read some playbooks - you can find links to some at thenaf.net.

Find "The Art of blocking" and read it over and over and over

I'm the dad in question :D , and truth be told, he did very well in his first couple of full games we played. (of course, I was taking it easy on him but he did good enough on his own too  ) He defeated my Skaven with his Humans and injured several rats. He also fought for a draw against my Khemri team. I wanted to show him how to handle a lot of high strength pieces. He did pretty good. Since we just yesterday got all of our stuff from the movers, I'll be bringing out the teams and pitch again to run through a few more games. I'm just glad he likes to hang out and indulge his old man with some Blood Bowl. :) (and I totally forgot about The Art of Blocking! Great idea!)

Awww, great! Now we set up the old man with the tools too!

And as for a serious answer: download and read the 1000 Losses Playbook. This is an absolutly thorough guide to Blood Bowl. Awesome read!
