Two quick questions

1. I had a BO blocker who wound up with the ball. He had an opponent directly in front of him and one on either side with a space between he and them. No way to dodge out of that. Instead, he blitzed the guy in front of him, rolled over the guy and was then in the clear out of tackle zones. Was this legal?

2. A blitzing player may only blitz to the block and no farther unless they are classified as a blitzer? A lineman can not blitz to a player, make the block and then move on.

Well 3 quick questions.

3. A player blocks an adjacent player, may they move on once the player is blocked.

Thanks guys for all the input. I love this game, but GW does not do a very good job of clarifying the verbage in their rules.

1. Not quite clear on what you're describing here. You can't move 'over' a prone player, but if you put him prone to one side then yes you're free to move the BB.

2. From the LRB..p8, player actions.
"Blitz: The player move a number of squares equal to their movement allowance. He may make one block during the move. The block may be made at any point during the move, and 'costs' one square of movement.
IMPORTANT: This action may not be declared by more than player per team turn. However, any player may perform a Blitz- the player doesn't have to be a Blitzer (Blitzers are just better at it than other players).

Yes, a lineman and any other player is free to Block at any point during their movement and keep moving. There are no special rules for Blitzers
(And yes, I think the last part in brackets could be misleading and doesn't really need to be there).

3. No, they can only follow up a pushback or Splat, unless you declare it as your turn's Blitz action.

Absolutely

A blitz is an action able to be taken by ANY player. If a lineman or Halfling makes the block they can move on just like a Blitzer ... the blitzer title just means the player probably came with starting skills making him a little better at it than some of his teammates.
3. A player blocks an adjacent player, may they move on once the player is blocked.
Only to follow up UNLESS you declared a blitz before blocking the adjacent player ... if you did then you move on.

>> Totally legal.

2. A blitzing player may only blitz to the block and no farther unless they are classified as a blitzer? A lineman can not blitz to a player, make the block and then move on.

>> The blitz works the same for all players. You may move (or not) block and then keep on moving. Blitzers are usually better at it being faster than a lineman and starting with block. But other than that the function just the same.

Well 3 quick questions.

3. A player blocks an adjacent player, may they move on once the player is blocked.

>> Only on a blitz. All other block on the turn have to start next to the blocke and can only follow up after the block.
