+ag +ma dwarf runner?

Post by Fronko »

Hi people!

One of my dwarf runners got block on his first inc, +ag on his second and on his third I rolled 6+4. Am I going to take that additional mv to catch my opponents off guard, when this dude rolls out of the cage or is a skill better? If so, which skill?

Rest of team:

blitzer - guard
blitzer - pass block (I don't know, how that could have happened, I regret that already)
slayer - dodge, tackle
slayer - multiblock
runner - dodge, pass, acc

LB - +ST, MB
LB - with guard x3
LB -no increase x2
ogre - +ST

I generally have not enough MB, but intend to change that with next few LB increases.

Take the MA (You're playing Dwarfs. Why on earth are you even considering NOT taking more speed????) and then pray for doubles next roll to get you leap!

+MA - no question at all. Its a big jump from 6 to 7. No GFIs to score in 2 turns for one thing.

I agree with the above.
Only on Longbeards would I not immediately take a MV increase!!!

Take the MA, and pass as your next skill to go with your AG4. On a double, dodge would make this player awesome.

Increased movement on a dwarf team is a treasure. Especially when he has AG4. TAKE THE MOVE!

I agree with the others, except for Zombie's pass suggestion. (Who' he gonna pass to?) If anything take pass on your other runner and make the MA7AG4 runner your receiver. The only problem with that is that even a nimrod coach will know who you're gonna pass to.

Give him the +ma.

Another point, that pass block is actually a good idea, use him as a safety to stop enemy pass plays. If u ever can round it out with shadow (for when that elven pansie still catches it in your tz), then he will be very much a pia.

Alright, alright! :)

I just noted +ma on my team roster. :)

About pass block: I now remember what I had in mind with that. There´s skaven with a one-turner in our league. I want to use my pass blocker to get in the way and make that catch harder for him. gotta be on the correct side to do it, though.

Would you recommend a second guy with pass block to cover both sides? Probably the other blitzer ...?

Shadow on a Dwarf Blitzer? nah. Will virtually never work. Tackle-Diving Tackle (on doubles) is the route to go if you want a pass defender. Tackle against that one turner will make it a bit harder on him.

Did you even read the thread? It's a MA7 runner.

Alright, folx, let's not get this mixed up!

Blitzer has MA5 and pass block, runner is MA7 and AG4. And the other runner is my dedicated thrower with pass and strong arm (not accurate, as I said before, my mistake).

I believe this runner might be both the center of my offense and defense. So, how would you further improve him?

Let's discuss a few things.

Normal level-ups first:
Shadowing - can be strong on defense, as I have block, too, blitzing him off the reciever might be hard.
Tackle - defense, too, makes dodging him harder
Pro - always useful, whaddaya think?

Doubles level-ups:
Sure Feet - Further range increase
Dodge - elfy is the way to go, plus makes him blodge?
Leap - eh eh, some more elfy styles? A bit too freaky for my taste and risky as well.
Sidestep - nasty surprise, when trying to push me away from enemy endzone

So far I'm tending towards shadowing/dodge, but I can be persuaded... Just try it... :)

Fronko, unless I'm missing something there is an obvious next skill for the runner that you have forgotten...

He currently is: 7/3/4/8... surely Block should be somewhere in the equation? (Not definitely his next skill, but it should certainly be considered.)

Marty he already got block, I would suggest Dodge on double and tackle on regular rolls.
