Number of Traits??

Post by Diesel »

I have a Norse team where I have a thrower who for his first skill rolled a double. I gave him Nerves of Steel (General Trait).
He has just got his second roll and he got another double :D I want to give him Strong Arm (Passing Trait) but am unsure if this is allowed?

It says in LRB "If this happens then instead of gaining any skill, the player's coach may choose to give them a single trait."
Does this mean only one Trait?!?! End of story! So I now have to choose another skill?
I was thinking of Pro instead, any other suggestions?

I know you guys normally ask about the rest of the team etc and what sort of League so -

They are in a Challenge League so there are mixed races.

Thanks for any help

One player can have several traits so you can choose Strong Arm for your thrower.

At least, I recommend you to take Strong Arm.

it means you can pick a single trait instead of a skill for that one roll, not that you are only allowed one trait per player

Yes but i think thats taking logic too far, anyone who would think that on an advance u can pick 1 skill or several traits should be literally physically hit upside the head.

Someone might think that you could take a trait on top of a skill. That's probably why that text is there.

I think zombie is right.

I would have taken strong arm on the first double though...

Heck, you have NoS now on that guy? Give him Dodge on this doubles roll, then make sure to give him Accurate and Dump-Off. You have one heckuva running QB in the works!
