Doubt on Frenzy vs Stand Firm

Post by Rufio of Montrose »

Hi:
If a guy with frenzy blocks and the dice result is push, if the defender has stand firm , he has to block again or that is the end of it since he didn´´t follow up?
Thanks

page 34 of the LRB2

3. Some skills refer to pushing a player back in order
to work. These skills will work as long as you roll a
push back on the Blocking dice.

sums it up really

Yep its based on the die roll, not whether or not the person actually moved as a result.

Different skill, but the same goes for Strip Ball vs Stand Firm...a push back roll results in the ball being stripped even though the player with Stand Firm doesn't get physically pushed back a space.

The end-zone “line of death” does not discriminate when one tempts fate by using a “go for it” to pass over it.
