push back methods...?

Post by bj0rn »

i was wondering what kind of push back methods you out there in the big world use.

at times when a push back result occurs, all the possible squares for the pushed to be pushed to are occupied. when that happens, in my league, the player in the occupied square the pushed player is pushed to is pushed back as if the one being originally pushed had blocked that player with a pushed back result.

the only difference is that the OWNER of that second (or third...) player being pushed can choose the square the player is pushed to.

1. choose where to push the first player
2. choose where to push the player occupying the square the first player is pushed to.
3. etc...
until a player is pushed to an unoccupied square.

or do you do it in reverse? figure out how fewest players are pushed...in order to retain some logic of preference to unoccupied squares?

This was actually covered by the BRRC recently. The player who threw the block decides what happens on all pushbacks that don't involve Sidestep. Our league used to work the way yours does, and the change has meant an alteration of tactics in some ways.
