Difference in play styles. I always give Treeman Pro first even without on-pitch take root. Pro lets me reroll blocking and Throw TeamMate and most importantly ... Standing Up. So Pro was always my first choice for a skill ... and the only reason I'd take Piling On for a Treeman would be if he had MA 3. Although getting the Buzzing result on the handicap table seriously rocks on a Treeman. Jump Up and Frenzy ... very nice.

For both my trees, I take skills in this order:
Normal: Pro, Block, Tackle
Doubles: Pass, Leader (only 1), Dodge

This is exciting me into playing halflings again (though I'm really waiting the Chef to be made the Head Coach).

My Treeman wishlist:

Normal: Block, Pro, Guard, Break Tackle

Doubles: Leader x 1, Pass x 1, Frenzy

ahh...the good old times of the skaven assassin (i've got two skaven assassin zombies...wonderful players)

i remember playing a couple of games using the savage orc. in my opinion he didnt fit well into the orc team roster. on the other hand i belive the savage orc himself isnt unbalanced at all...i just think he would need a different team roster. become a replacement for the orc blitzers or something like that (4 black orcs, 4 savage orcs, 2 throwers, 12 lineman)

isnt that the trend today? making a brettonian, norse and amazon team in addition to the general "human" teams. a khemri team in addition to the normal undead team and a savage orc team in addition to the normal orc team etc...

bj0rn - ...?

You thought Stiff Arm was abusive for players .... poisoned dagger on GRs makes Stiff Arm look like a 80 pound weakling. Also I've had one Poisoned Dagger Rat Ogre which means the player never had to make a two-dice opponent choice block. Its not knee-jerk at least from what I've seen.
Fine enough. I was perhaps looking it too much from a low-ag point of view.

I still disagree with the ruling that you can't leave them to the dugout, however.
