I have to agree on this. On cards, rules have to be written shortly because there's no room enough to be tightly. And that's sometimes a problem.

That said, Blood Bowl is more and more a game for addicted coachs who play with pawns more than with fluffy players. And, in my opinion, cards give that piece of fluff which remains essential for Blood Bowl.

Not agreed.
The game is what you make of it.
Some like to play it very fluffy with stories behind it.
Some like it very competitive, winning at all costs.

Cards aren't needed for any playstyle.
In fact, I haven't played a single game of BB using cards in all those years.

True, they aren't NECESSARY to play it fluffy. I only wanted to say they helped to. Some cards are really great to have crunchy stories to tell about a game.
