strange win on ebay

I won a strange one, this week.

The figure appears to be a variant of the 2nd ed Frank.

Instaed of his left arm straight out, both arms are down between his knees.

Other then that, everything, head, shoulder and knee pads, shoes...All the same as the original Frank.

And before I bought the figure(he was a "buy it now" for $10 or so.) I asked the seller if the arms were fooled with, or if one of the arms were replaced with plastic. He said No, The figure is all metal.

I will post a pic, as the wife has to do that. But any ideas? Tom?

Need to see it. I have no records of the figure being cast in a variant pose ever by GW.

If you wife can take a good image of it front and back ... (or link to the Ebay auction so I can look at images there) ... would help to decide what happened.

Saw that one too, and felt it was either a masterfull bending job, or cut....

Either way, looked good in the photos....

There was an individual that took GW figures, modified them, cast them and sold them on ebay. Most of the ones I saw were mostly skaven.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullspit!

(Oui, ignoring the paintjob)

Would have to see it stripped.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OOP-Citadel-Blo ... 7675.l2557

90% sure that is an active modification (ie if you strip it you'll see the cut and reglue) or that you'll be able to see evidence where that was done and then the figure was remastered.

Pretty certain he didnt do it with Frank N Stein

He modified some Skaven and a few Beastmen and a particular Reaper Mini but dont think he did any others

Interesting, but likely a chop and change. Only when you strip it off with harsh paintstripper does it confirm yay or nay. Often I've put mini's in, and they've come out VERY different!

I just got the figure, and while I hav'nt stripped it yet, it appears that the hands are molded togeather, so I can't see how this was "cut and glued".

Look at the back:

Looking forward to seeing it stripped. What does the base tab say?
