Very serious - the guy that arranged our order was in contact with J-Bone as it was feared to be lost.Regash wrote:Are you serious?Darkson wrote:posted in April(!), turned up last Thursday
In Germany we usually have a delivery time overnight, two days tops.
I mean, it doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be a staple of British comedy.
I've had a parcel sent from Impact in the US arrive before one from Manchester before, and then I've had a parcel that should take 3-5 days arrive the next day. Our post office is great and awful in equal measures (and our independent delivery companies are just the same).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Oh, you've been here, I didn't know that.frogboy wrote:cottage cheese?
You have to order it as an extra but they put cheese made from sheeps milk on them.
(They seem to eat sheeps cheese a lot in Turkey.)
But maybe better back to topic...

Right now I cannot think of a better topic than the kebab I had for lunch one day the last time I was in Germany......Regash wrote:Oh, you've been here, I didn't know that.frogboy wrote:cottage cheese?

Re: New Slann miniatures project?
The Döner kebabs are good, cheese makes it great and possibly the best drunk food ever, and they usually put enough salad and stuff in there for you to convince yourself that it's healthy.
Just watch out for the peppers - they usually have a bowl or a shaker of dried red/orange pepper flakes on the counter. Which is good, but best enjoyed with moderation. So first time I was in Germany, "slightly tipsy", I started shaking some out. The guy told me it was pretty spicy, but I figured Germans consider anything sharper than mayonnaise to be unbelievably hot so I put on two spoonfuls.
It was good. But man I paid for that over the next day and a half.
Anyway! Still no frogs here, still waiting, still patient (since I won't have time to paint for a few weeks anyway).
(I'll repeat my offer to pick them up in Porto in October)

Re: New Slann miniatures project?
anyone stumbling across this thread without a team - there'll be a painted one up for auction at Thrudball this year again Thor is a great painter, so should be worthwhile (and proceeds go to charity too)
My only disappointment, is that the team I won in last year's auction to be painted by Jbone looks likely to arrive after the one I'm donating to the auction this year Bah humbug!

Re: New Slann miniatures project?
Why are people "worrying"?
If you haven't got them after Johnny communicates that all teams have been sent out I'm sure he'll rectify the situation.
Not having metal frogs vs Brexit, Trump, Terrorism etc. The former wouldn't worry me at all, the latter would.
Patience is a virtue worth having.

Re: New Slann miniatures project?
Hm, it now has been four months since the minis arrived @ J_Bones.
And I, in Germany, still don't have mine.
Yes, I am worried now, seriously.
J_Bone, c'mon, give an update or something.
This silence isn't very comfortable!
