Very amusing, though I would probably prefer them as counters!

Why is that?
Because the Magnetic travel board and the Stunty expansion use FUMBBL icons without permission for the purpose of profit. I (and others) spent many, many hours (100s personally) creating those icons for use with FUMBBL. I have no issue with people using them for other clients (e.g. BOTOCS) if they ask and they are free to use. When someone simply downloads all of them, prints them on magnetic tiles and sells them for profit, I have an issue with it. I know harvestmouse was also not asked to use any of his icons, and I know of no other icon artist who was asked either. With the Stunty icons alone, I made over half, 600+, of those icons myself. And here someone is selling them for 15 euros, just by stealing them from FUMBBL.

So, that is why.

Some talk of it on FUMBBL (There was a blog as well I can't find.).
The proper way to ask for and use the icons.

I did not know that. Thanks for the explanation.

I'd say you have a very, very fair point.

not to mention licensing violations on the figures
companies make millions offering licenses to their products (which companies gladly pay to make said products) remember GW paid tons for the license to Lord of The Rings

ps. I can't remember who asked to use the West Coast Quake Board image. I said sure as long as it is for personal use (and I will say yes to everyone who ask to use it for personal use). If he was up to making stuff for profit (and not giving me a cut) I would sic my lawyer on him.

I have the feeling that we're not talking about 80s Meiko Snotlings here... Or at least Meiko miniatures...

This topic is not the best place to talk about legal issues.

If anybody has a problem with me or any of my brands, please send me a PM and we will talk about it.

I seize the opportunity to introduce you the new Meiko Super-Goblins with Weapons:

I think it is.

You are ripping off a niche industry of a niche hobby, by stealing from people who contribute their free time to keep it alive. What would you say in a PM? "Too bad, I'll do what I want." is the most likely answer. I'm just letting people know that what you are doing and letting them come to their own decision.

I'm with Whatball on this. It is clearly profiting from others hard work, time and energy.
