Suitable existing GW minis for LRB5+/LRB6 sideline figures

Post by korinth »

Might not be as important as official GW minis for Star Players, but intended for any coach that wants to go that extra mile with his special team..

The goal of this thread is not to decide what sideline figures everyone should use, but rather to be an inspiration in the search of miniatures. As such there is no right or wrong answer to the question; which sideline figure can you use?

I am a Dark Elf coach so this is where I started my search for miniatures. Any suggestions of GW minis or links to conversions from such are appreciated! I'll add to the list from nominations in the thread.

I am not an expert on OOP minis, so the list might need your contribution on this part. As for my own nominations, I prefer metal and have mainly searched for such miniatures.

Cheers!

Great mini for an assisting coach. However some tournaments (Dungeon Bowl I think) won't allow LoTR minis for trademark reasons. I'll put it up in parenthesis.

Well I could see the Dwarf engineers or war machien crew as assistant coaches and the runesmith as a wizard plus any of the versions of Josef Bugman as babes. If they still do drunken dwarfs those could be fans.

For humans the plastic empire wizard gives plenty of options as wizards and again war machine crew or engineers as assistant coaches.

I searched GW for Dwarf Engineer and found the Dwarf cannon set, which has one piece with a clipboard in it's hand. Perfect for assistant coach if you like plastic minis: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... prod780881
