Duskrunners - wood elves with a difference

Post by SinisterDexter »

Hi all

I've been working on a new wood elf team as I was thwarted in my attempts to take a human team to AusBowl. The team is based on Maidenhead Miniatures' 'feral elves' range, so they are not quite what you might expect.

Unfortunately all the pics I have are a bit large to post here, so you'll have to check it out at my painting blog:

Let me know what you think.

Very nice. I am sure they will get some attention from your opponent.

I mean, it would be a shame to block them, right...? :D

It sure would!

You know, I was checking out the Stripping Miniatures thread earlier and... I don't think I'm doing it right!

I just want to know what brush size you use to get those stars so precise

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Heh, neat alternative wood elfs :)

But hey - none of them have pubic hair?
In danish 'Dusk' = 'Bush', so it would just have been so poetic.

Yep, there is some nice stuff. I found they didn't have enough range in the 'pure' elven style minis, so I went with the cloven hoofed models. As noted in my blog entry, some of the sculpting is a little bit suspect, but on the whole they are decent miniatures and, given the options for wood elf teams on the market, definitely a good option.

I've updated my blog with the latest additions to the team, a thrower, a catcher and a line-elf. That's seven down, only five more to go, and I have these already undercoated!

The few pics up are great, but you seem to have been scorned by photobucket. You have about 5 pictures that have been removed.
