Old School Orcs
Hi all. I painted this team back in 2007, but I never got around to take some decent pictures of it until now.
I took the team to the 2007 World Cup where I played some of you
Team captain Ben Ruthlessburger and the rest of the Blitzburgh Squealers:

Congratualtions on the paint job, all the more so for the yellow. I'm blown away by the clarity of the colour. How did you manage it? If you can remember it that is.;
Will they be making a comeback at this year's world cup?

Re: Old School Orcs
Thanks guys!
The bright yellow was achieved over a black undercoat. I then re-undercoated the areas white before applying the yellow. It is a very time consuming approach, but I think it's worth it.
Nowadays I use GW foundation paints to do yellow, but the result is not nearly as bright.

Look great, though Blitzburgh Squealers sounds like a Skaven team to me!

Lovely - and old school... just the way we like 'em. I, too, have a soft spot for 2.ed, and the troll as well - I really like the brown approach. I do think, however, that the blacklining is too much. Great team nonetheless! Would like to see a groupshot!

Re: Old School Orcs
I can see that the troll appears to be blacklined, but I think that is due to my photographic skills (or lack thereof)
I took the pictures without proper ligthing relying only on the camera flash and especially the troll looks like a deer caught in a headlight. Oh well maybe I'll redo them

There's a group shot at the bottom of my website: http://www.verdensmand.com/bloodbowl/orcsnyboe wrote:Would like to see a groupshot!

Love the troll, kinda like brown on it.
The only problem is the figs, 2ed Blitzers look the same...but I bow in front of your superior skills.

Re: Old School Orcs
To be fair they didn't really sort that out too well with the 3rd edition Blitzers either, they all also look very similar.cyagen wrote:The only problem is the figs, 2ed Blitzers look the same...but I bow in front of your superior skills.
