Nippon Kappas: A "different" Slann team
Hi everyone! I would like to take this opportunity to burst out of stalk-mode and show you some lousy pictures of my newly finished Slann Team!
They are called the:
They are Nippons (warhammer japan) national high-jumping team, but since westeners only like Bloodbowl, this is what they play.
Here we have their Coach, Spleenter. He is an old exiled Eshin.
Team photo: Are those Kroot?
What's up with their backs?
Linemen:
Catchers:
Blitzers:
These are simply built by cutting in Kroot and giving them turtle shells and bandanas. The most important part was shortening the Kroots necks. One lineman has the original neck and he looks crazy when he's alone.
The pictures don't show it well but the Catchers have a brownish skin and purple bandanas, while the Blitzers have blue bandanas and knee- and elbow-pads.
When the team starts developing I will add more players with bandanas (red and orange for example) to represent players with certain skills.
Oh, and I made the logo myself

CMDante: The shells are sculpted, but the Krox is without. There was no obvious place to put it and I think it would have taken some serious sculpting skills.
Digger Goreman: I must confess that I got the name mostly from Turtles 3, where the old japanese call them Kappa. I have googled it though
The pictures don't show it that well, but although it's a whacky-theme team the paintjob is very serious. I wanted them to look less cartoony than normal bloodbowl teams, so the shading and contrast are both quite low. All colours (except for leather) are faded up from Adeptus Battlegrey and highlighted with kommando khaki, so they all have pretty short spans.
I'm trying to get my hands on a real camera so I can show you.

They are awesome!!
Only one suggestion: How about coloring the bandanas after positions? So blitzers get red, catchers get yellow etc? It would give the team a bit of color (which it might lack a bit, IMHO) and look totally radical.

I think it's the most original team I've ever seen. The background of the TMNT is great (the model used for splinter is excellent) and the mutagen mutated turtle made from the kroots models are awesome !
Big GG to you and thank you for this pics.
Give us pics of the big guy, the only one we don't see clearly.
