Black Widows - Update (May 8th, 2006)

I had these pictures sitting around for a while .. thought I might share while I still remembered.

I've updated the first BW I painted to improve the eyes. My first attempt was horrible. A red haired version should be coming soon. Not sure what I'll do after that.

Let me know what you think.

no really.. great stuff as always. What team are the minis intended for? Amazons?

Sweet. Eyes look fine, and you've done the pupils to. My eyes are mostly just shaded black.

Generally another excellent model

particually like the color scheme and highlites.

very nice! hav'nt decided on the colors for mine yet. i'm gonna use some of mine as witchs for my 2nd edition dark elfs.

They look fantastic Urb. You've done the very difficult. Taking two of the same mini, painting them and making each fig look like they have a different personality!

Haha.. fair question really. There are yellow accents but the theme was blue and purple. Maybe next bunch..

The team was originally meant to be amazons, then I was going to use them as dark elf linewomen, then hobgoblins for my chaos dwarves and finally I think they will be amazons moonlighting sometimes as dark elves.

These are the only minis in Phil's range that I'm not so keen on, something about the brow seems wrong with them. But you've done an excellent job as always.

I prefer the silver belly ring on the newer paint job, looks less like something edible.

He he, true. I thought they looked more like hobgoblins than darkelves when I unwrapped the parcel from Valen. Which is why my first move on them was to have a heavy go at them with a modelling blade. I'll show you what emerged as soon as I can find time to paint again. Which is not very soon, I can tell you that from a quick glance in my Outlook calendar.
