Doll Blodgers - pic
Heya y'all,
I finished painting my Wood Elf team (Doll Blodgers) a week ago in readiness for ian williams' Eucalyptus Bowl.
Here's a (slightly blury) pic of the team.
Please let me know what you think,
and constructive criticism is most welcome! (I'm always looking to improve)
Cheers,
PD

Hey, that´s a diffrent Wooditeam to all the other´s
A good example whats possible with a little creativity
i like the colours you have used, and the blitzers..!! yeah very naked.
One question, where is the coach...he should be a male with
a good condition
only thing i don´t like is the apo, looks not realy woodelvish,
i would have taken a shaman, maybe from the confrontation minis.
You can also find the perfect headcoach there. maybe one of the celtics..
great

@ mick - Yeah, I havnt got a coach yet cos the model I want to use isnt out yet. I wanna use the new wfb highborn on foot with the two-handed sword - with a bit of conversion of course. Also going to use a spell-singer as my wizard (also not out yet).
@ plasmoid - thx! Yes, I totally agree about the colours for the wardancers. the tricky thing is they're 90% naked! I might go back and do the wrist-bandy things green.

I like that Dryad a lot actually. My other suggestion would be this sweetheart from GW.

Very good looking team you got there PianoDan!
We were thinking to do something similar for my wifes wood-elf team actually (but she will probably use the regular shadowforge elf guards as wardancers).
The dryad for a Treewoman is an interesting idea, but just how big is it? I don't suppose anyone got a picture with some regular models next to it for comparing?

I'm actually going to withdraw my recommendation for the GW Dryad. Saw her in person and wasn't overly impressed. She's pretty tiny. I would go with your original instinct and go Shadowforge.Umbriel wrote:The dryad for a Treewoman is an interesting idea, but just how big is it? thanks guys - yeah the shadowforge dryad isnt a whole lot bigger than the elves. if you want a big model then I reckon converting those plastic tree kin could be the way to go... it's hard to actually have a female tree cos either there's no such thing or you cant tell the difference between a male and female tree! Maybe convert a tree kin and incorporate ear rings? eye shadow? something...

Sure lipstick, eyeshadow. Whateever.
You could use the shadowforge Dryad as a base and build her up a bit. Get one of the old metal gw Dryads (or one of the new plastics) and incorporate some parts. Switch over the Arms, extend her legs...... A little bigt of green stuff and you've got a good sized treeman. er treewoman. Some shoulder pads..... Sweet!

More pictures, please?
Got any more pictures of these beauties?
Preferably in higher resolution.
Got my female elf team in the mail the other day and need some inspiration to get started with the painting.
