Just starting a new blog dedicated to this great game, check out the Challenge post. I would be grateful for any cheap team suppliers.

Also if there are any other blood bowl blogs out there I would love to link them :)

I was actually thinking sometime this last week that TFF could do with a "Beginners Guide to Starting Blood Bowl" as a sticky in the Newbies Forum, since the GW support for the game is so poor. Without meaning to hijack your thread your challenge of trying to get "Two painted teams, and all the things you need to play a game of Blood Bowl" for around £30 seems to thinking about the same questions, so I'll be watching with some interest.

When you say "all the things you need to play a game of Blood Bowl" I assume that would include a board, block dice, and a passing template. Would you consider it acceptable to use standard D6s for your Block Dice (1 = Attacker Down, 2 = Both Down, etc, etc)? If not the cheapest alternative I can think of is buying standard blank dice and painting the symbols on.

If you're not buying second hand gear I think it'd be a real struggle to get two painted teams *and* a board for £30 if you also want it all to be acceptable for tournaments, especially if you're not going to allow yourself to make a board out of cardboard or some such. Very cool if you can manage it, but I think two fully painted 16 men teams and a board are going to be very hard to set up that cheap.

My plan was to create 2 11 man teams to make it a little easier. The templates and board are open for discussion and planning at the moment but they need to be decent quality not some draw out bits of paper. But I was thinking I need proper block dice from GW or someone else and I am not sure other players in tournaments would be happy using home made dice.

I am not entirely sure if I'll be able to do it but my effort and journey might make for more of an interesting read ;) even if I fail.

Another bump, the first team has been finished. They look good for £8 ($13).

I can do it rite now for your price range, except i would have to paint them myself,i already have done that for a few beginners already except i go 50 dollars. Also i have a beginers blog on another site. But rite its kinda disorganized. What i would like to do is Resurrect Blood bowl magazine but have it as a e mag.But i bet Grandma Wendy would send me a C and D letter,or just do it underground. Also i could frame the letter.Crazy

If you are willing to buy bits, why not buy Ork sprues from the Assault on Black Reach box? They go really cheap, and you get your Black Ork Blockers (Nobs), Linemen and Thrower (boyz).

20 Boyz (2 teams) seem to go for about $15, and the 4x nobz are around $5

Also you can get the Troll and Troll Slayer (for dwarfs) super cheap from the Fantasy Assault of Black Pass (or whatever it is called).
