Which set is this from? Unless my eyes are failing me I couldn't find it on any of the lists.
Looks like it's from White Dwarf November 2019 (https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... ge-post-3/). Thanks for the heads up! We now have 181 official GW BB Special Play cards.

As if people are listing that White Dwarf card on eBay?!

If there’s a market for these, mine’s going on there, for sure!

Yeah that's from this month's White Dwarf, which is literally still on the shelves.

Yeah there is a market for all extra stuff for specialist games! Cards, dice, pitches and even sleeves are sold for insane prices. Think I saw 50 BB sleeves for more than 30£. There was a pitch earlier going for 100£.

That’s because Games Workshop doesn’t get it right with production numbers though, which means those things quickly become scare, driving the price up. I flipped a ‘Blood on the Snow’ pitch on eBay ‘cos they were going for Monopoly money; spent my ill-gotten gains on more Blood Bowl stuff, so I’ve no guilt on that one!

This card isn’t that though, the magazine is available in all good newsagents (and perhaps then via back order from Games Workshop?) for the next month - not exactly rare.

If it goes for more than a fiver (the cost of the magazine) then I’d have to assume it’s been brought by someone who lives a fair trek from their local paper shop!

Another scenario is they get it exactly right, and capitalize short-term on FOMO and completionism. And at the same time throwing a golden bone to ebay scalpers. Luckily I managed to stay away from the winter pitch on ebay, and it eventually was re-released. I did however buy that first skaven dice set, each single die ended up costing me the same as the entire set of dice. Luckily the re-released Skaven dice was actually slightly different.

I bought the season 2 rulebook but was not really paying attention about extra cards at the time, thinking they were just cards for things from the book. Are they actually used in NAF tournaments etc. Or are they ignored because they are limited so new players coming into the game cannot have them?

Very rarely. In fact I've never seen them allowed, doesn't mean it doesn't happen, just not at any I recall looking at/going to.

Most of these Cards a pretty useless, but some are really fun to play (if we play with cards!).
The new cards (2020) seems to be specific to one race. I really like to know whats the text of these (with the ?) unknown cards is.
No one in my area was able to get these, cause of the "small stock" from GW.

That is one impressive list, and the most complete I've seen! You did however miss "(FACIAL) HAIR WE GO" (Warhammer World Promo 2018) and "THERE'S SOMETHING IN MY BEER!" (Warhammer World Promo 2019). Not that it matter much, since all BB2016 cards are waste now. I did find the new Skaven & Dwarf cards for BB2020, but they are in french:

I managed to get hold of the three sets of team cards (despite the Dwarf and Necro pre-orders both being cancelled on me).

They are team specific, which has now put me in two minds whether to bother with future card packs because it makes the special play use even more situational than the odd tournament that allowed cards (and those generally only being GW hosted)

Cards at its best can add some random fun things to shake a game up. At it's worst, it's the same broken, unbalanced garbage we've seen numerous examples of the past 4 years. One of the skaven cards already breaks the game by allowing a gutter runner to have MA10? And if you got the skaven deck, please share the timing for "Berserk Rampage" allowing a rat ogre to block twice.

The 6*8 base cards are universal. All team card packs will for certain have team-specific cards only (no universals). This pattern is a little bit surprising since it prevents GW from releasing all those promo cards they loved to make for the previous edition. On the other hand, it opens up for a cardageddon of sales, 30+ teams, and each team will have 16 cards (2 decks of 8 cards). A potential to release 500-600 cards during the next couple of years...

It will depend how GW tournaments do this going forward. BB2016 Rules had every game drawing cards as the default. BB2020 they are only listed as an inducement. Nothing to stop GW running event where everyone gets two (or more) free cards but they could adjust to only using the rules as printed. If they are just an option team can buy with starting cash then most teams will struggle to have 100k spare for such a frivolous purchase.

If there events are everyone gets free cards then you will need to buy one deck. The single race you play at every GW event as otherwise you are at a disadvantage because the race cards are so much better than the regular cards.

That is a lot of cards. Kind of glad I missed the first release so I am not tempted to try and collect them all any longer. My commissioner took one look at the Necro team cards and went "they are banned". They are completely unbalanced and the Sakven ones look to be similar.

I also think specific rosters cards are generally better than "any team" vanilla ones. That said, I don't think they are so overpowered they should be banned. They cost 100k and, in my opinion, are far from being the best inducement per k value. ;)

Have you read the Necro cards? You have one that Roots a player another that goes straight to injury roll and the Zap spell as options.
If all teams had there own deck then there would be some balance but with only some teams having access to them it seems unfair.
100k seems reasonable and would be high up on my pick list at that price if they were allowed.
