I personally can't wait to find out what Stars are in it

That was meSkitters wrote:
Going back to the Dark Elves, someone on the Facebook BB community raised the question of speculating on the Dark Elf star players - assuming they will go up to 10 entries.
Roxanna, Harkon, Eldril and Morg are already official
Hubris seems a given and presumably Ithaca, which would leave 4 new slots
Someone mentioned Tuern Redvenom as one option....but looking at the stats he seems a little too similar (...and arguably better) than Hubris to me
https://fumbbl.com/help:ForgottenStarPlayers
Jeremiah Kool - or perhaps son of? For the Dark Elf player that wants to throw the ball around a bit more?
Other thoughts that occur to me for star player ideas
Dark Elves - thematically - seem like they should have at least one secret weapon option....it strikes me that there could be an assassin that takes things a little too far by having a thrown
For the Dark Elf player who want a sort of Big Guy option - a bloodwrack medusa star player
For the Dark Elf player who wants a one turn touchdown option: a Harpy that could perhaps double its movement....but at the risk of forgetting itself and flying off (counts a knock out)
I’d be inclined to see Tuern Redvenom as more of a Wrackler style safety than Hubris.
I do reckon there’ll be some kind of thrower.
I’m secretly hoping for a female linelf with dirty player and sneaky git as well as that would be pretty thematic
Interesting stuff ahead.

I'm guessing "Human and Orc boosters". Might not be the next release but it'll be the next one I buy. (I promised myself I'd finish the Orcs before buying more, which has been painful because the new releases are pretty gorgeous)

Re: warhammer fest spoilers! dark elves!!
Star Players can now be seen in the New Zealand GW card listing: looks like several new players to me, one notable omission and a return for Jeremiah Kool
Asperon Thorn
Mordrix Hex
Eldril Sidewinder
Elijah Doom
Horkon Heartripper
Hubris Rakarth
Kiroth Krakeneye
Roxanna Darknail
Morg 'n' Thorg
Jeremiah Kool ("special Golden Era Star Player card")
So pure speculation: Thorn sounds Wood Elf-y - a war dancer with a darker side? Hex - an assassin perhaps? Elijah Doom and Kiroth Krakeneye are the two others I'm unfamiliar with
No Ithaca Benoin - though I was never convinced he was a serious option for Dark Elves anyhow
Dwarf pack contains
Barik Farblast
Grim Ironjaw
Flint Churnblade
Boomer
Grombrindal The White Dwarf
Morg 'N' Thorg;
Asperon Thorn
Mordrix Hex
Eldril Sidewinder
Elijah Doom
Horkon Heartripper
Hubris Rakarth
Kiroth Krakeneye
Roxanna Darknail
Morg 'n' Thorg

Asperon Thorn was a Dark Elf for the Darkside Cowboys back in 2nd edition. I'm currently having a brain fart and can't remember whether he was a catcher or thrower (or lineman now I think about it).Skitters wrote:So pure speculation: Thorn sounds Wood Elf-y - a war dancer with a darker side?

It looks like he is not a catcher anymore:

Apparently they gave previewed some of the new star player stats on Warhammer TV and a kind soul wrote them down instead of having to sift through the stream to find it.

I thought guard was a no no for stars?

And what does "Golden Age Star Player" mean?
Why is he marked as optional when they are all optional?

The Dark Elves have Jeremiah Kool, who is one of the oldest named star players in Blood Bowl. He’s 390k gold pieces and they didn’t go into his stat.
Hope in the future to have Bob Bifford historical star player.”

Re: warhammer fest spoilers! dark elves!!
the problem with Jeremiah Kool now is that Forgeworld are going to have to sculpt a very special model for him!
I'm intrigued to see the background for Krakeneye...ive got visions of needing a model a bit like the idoneth deepkin character that has an octopus on his back - though I think it'd need a lot of work to make it look sporty enough....and my experience of AOS elves is that they are a little on the small side compared to BB Elves (and I assume DElves)

I propose that for "Classic" stars, you have to use "Classic" miniatures.Skitters wrote:the problem with Jeremiah Kool now is that Forgeworld are going to have to sculpt a very special model for him!
Jeremiah Kool is a 2nd Ed Dark Elf Blitzer, so ...
