yes this is a good idea.

I am currently buying white dwarf just for the BB content, but its getting smaller with each issue, only 2 pages this time, £5.99 for 2 pages is a bit daft.

The exploding ball is pretty cool i have to say.

That would be a really smart idea. Maybe they'll do it.

With the strategy GW has taken now, it seems unlikely. Instead of unifying and collecting the rules, they've severely limited it and spread it across numerous platforms. I don't think they have complete oversight over what they have released so far. Just look at the referee rules released in WD january, now replaced by more complex rules in DZ2.

Also they have not been known to do such things in the past with other specialist games like Necromunda or Gorkamorka. The only reason all that good stuff is available today is because someone back then collected it and put it into a document.

That's what I've done now for all the pdf erratas, pdf card variant rules, app expansions, white dwarf articles, the 3 books, the weather tables from the sold out pitches, the star players from the limited event-only ebay scalp fest releases, the special cards and kick-off tbale from limited leagues and cards from limited events.

Contact me if you're interested.

Also, there's quite a few high-resolution reviews on youtube going through White Dwarf, that's where I got the ball rules.

Nice, I've been meaning to compile myself a document at some point as well. But by the time I ever get around to it, GW will probably have released something.

As I mentioned, I probably won't keep subscribing to WD forever, and I really wonder what
the future of Blood Bowl content will be like. I guess right now there is a new Warhammer 40k, so it makes sense that has overshadowed BB, even if I have no interest in it. I saw some old BB magazines on Ebay the other day and thought 'Wouldn't it be crazy if..?!'. I doubt there is any chance of a new BB magazine, but that would probably be ideal.

I think I much prefer an online compilation of the rules though. Perhaps an 'additional rules from White Dwarf' pack offered via app or epub.

Myself, I kind of liked the Snotling disguised as a ball. It's pretty awesome they included one, but even cooler that there are some optional rules for it. I still haven't cracked open my Goblin box to check, but it seems like those rules should have been in the team box as well.

They definitly should be in the box and they certainly aren't. The only thing you get in the box is a TV1000 starting roster of 12 goblins and a gazillion re-rolls.

I do wonder if BB will continue to be in WD once the next SG game is released (whatever and whenever that is).

I guess/hope/expect they continue as long as they make new Blood Bowl releases. If there were more specialist games, maybe less frequent per game or the games not recently released.

Not that I'm certain or willing to bet any money on it of course.

No Blood Bowl articles in July's White Dwarf. :(

There was a page that listed upcoming Warhammer World events "Blood Bowl August 5th-6th". Hopefully that means some more BB material in the August White Dwarf or at least some new announcements.

There's more coming -- I promise that, though I don't know exactly what issue to expect it in. However, there are a couple of factors that may lead to less BB content in the short term:

1) big push for new edition of Warhammer 40k
2) switch from resin to plastic for future teams (see: elves) has delayed some releases originally planned for summer/fall 2017

Don't mistake a temporary lull for abandonment.

GW has started a few trends for all the teams released so far:

-custom ball rules per team (except humans)
-alternative teams
-team-specific Inducement
-team-specific Match Events
-new star player

Hopefully they continue to do this, but it's quite a lot of additional work just to make models for another team. We don't really need 24 additional alternative teams or star players, but now that some teams got special ball rules, match events and inducements, it wouldn't be so fun if all the rest of the teams didn't get this.

I don't think they've released a new Star Player profile for each new team. It's certainly something they are open to and will continue to add, but I don't think there's a mandate that every new team must have a new star. More along the lines of when they see an opportunity, and have good ideas for fluff and models for a new one.

I think the basic Spiked Ball is the human "special ball". I would expect that future teams will see some similar special rules like this.

I would like GW to produce WD Blood Bowl articles (very few in the magazine) either in my dug-out (either for free or for £1 to get the rules) or on the bloodbowl.com for free, atfter 3 months or so.

I have WDs with the blood bowl balls, but would like it on pdf in my phone :-)

Sure no problem. I got all of it printed out from a pdf in a very nice compact booklet sort of thing.
