The new one is that GW finally pulled the plug on the Specialist games line.Does anyone know of this or has a bit more info. Because if they did big win for the aftermarket boys. Also better stock up.
If this is true then i could understand it with the release of the black box game.
Also they used to do this with the games back in the good old days.rotate them on a three cycle i belive.

The Specialist Games section is still on their website and you can still buy things there..... So what do you mean by gone?

Players of Epic and Battlefleet Gothic etc. have apparently noticed things being marked as "No Longer Available".

Rumour I just saw on Twitter (from someone who I can imagine having contacts at GW) says that they won't be making any more SG stuff. It's all going OOP.

Makes sense. I'm surprised they kept it this long.

I gess when they do release a new BB box then they'll be done with that as well.
Make sure you have a backup of the CRP guys, there's no guarantee that a new box will contain rules we want to play.

As some say, be careful what you wish for, you might get it. Sure it will make "happy" all those loving a new box and the new players it will attract if all other products are gone and BB goes even more unsupported than currently.

Aah, rumors...

i bought a "new, shrink rapped" unopened 3rd ed box at cold wars for "$15 usd. when i got it home, i found everything in new condition. it was missing the range ruler :( a quick call to impact! solved that problem..
i called GW USA and asked after one, and i was told NO RANGE RULLED WERE AVAILIBLE.

Ken, meet inflation; inflation, meet Ken :)

http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/

Something that cost $5 25 years ago would cost $10.25 now, not taking into account any above-inflation increase in the cost of pewter over the period. I'm not excusing GW's pricing by any stretch, but perhaps a little context might be instructive ;)

What I personally find beyond the pale is that I can buy a figure from the UK store for NZ$15 after conversion, or the same figure from GW's NZ store for closer to NZ$25. Just to be clear, that's an 80% tax I'm expected to pay for LITERALLY NOTHING. It's the same in Australia... well, screw you Greedy W*nkers, you'll not get another penny from me.
