profile editing??

Post by valedictor »

I can't seem to edit my profile any more... is this something to do with all the tech problems of late, or is the problem at my end? :-?

Must change avatar urgently to something way more cool than my cheesy mugshot....

I tried to adjust my signature. The change seemed to go thru with no error messages, but when I checked it it remained the same as it was. So I have no idea what is happening. I tried it mant times with no luck!

OK, I have no problem getting into my profile, but cannot make any changes stick. Going to be difficult to fix as it could be anything. Bear with me and I'll get onto it ASAP.

Right, I've gone back to an unhacked version of the code. However, a user is still unable to change their profile no matter what type of access they have. i.e. I am unable to change my profile despite being an Admin. But, if I select a user via the admin user management tool I can make changes!!!!!! Versy strange.

Still looking.

OK, the problem is due to Avatar uploading being enabled. Don't ask me how or why!!!!!!!! Anyway, I've disabled that feature for now until I can figure out what has changed since moving servers.

Cheers

OK, all fixed now and avatar uploading re-enabled. Problem due to an incorrect setting in my PHP ini file.

THe annoying thing is that nobody will have been able to register since Saturday night. All those lost punters

Cheers
