Push back query......

OK I am wondering about a small thing. I was playing a game against a friend and I blocked one of his players into the crowd the result was the crowd killed his player. I was under the assumption that you cant use your apoth to help that player as it did not happen on the field. My opponent said yes the apoth could be used in any injury. I feel he was incorrect. If anyone knows the answer please let me know. Also if you are blocking a player diagonaly into the crowd when he is surrounded by other players, does he go into the crowd or do the other players around him get pushed back a square. Is the path of least resistance the crowd or another player??

In 2k1, u r correct, crowd kills are permanent. Unless u house rule.
