Blood Bowl Playing Assumption Profiles

Post by Digger Goreman »

I think it is safe to say that we don't all have the same "kit bag" when it comes to evaluating and opinionating Blood Bowl.... For my view, I have never played in a tournament... don't play cyanide or fummbl... have played over 20 years of table top and been involved in all levels of several leagues.... The majority of my current play is table top under 1,500,000.... Usually Necro, Vampire, Undead, Khemri and Nurgle in that order....

Would the community members please weigh in...?

And you can revote if your situation changes....

Tricky. 6 tournaments a year, ongoing tabletop league, twice-weekly fumbbl games, occasional cyanide. So I guess mostly Fumbbl, but it's not where my heart is!

Up until this week I was in league <1500, but it ends this week for a 3 month break.
Up until September I am in a lot of tournies, then hiatus for the winter.
In a cyanide league that also ends in 3 weeks, dont know if I'm staying or taking a break.

I want to click 3 options in the vote, then in 3 weeks, none of them :)

I've clicked tourney as I think I play more games in that environment.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Don't play Cyanide, to flaky.
Don't play Fumbbl, bad experiences.
Don't play a regular league, probably one every 18 months or so.

So has to be tournaments, but would love to have a regular and ongoing league.

Of course, Fumbbl/Cyanide afficionados would put further subdivisions in, as there is a big difference between playing Ranked/Box/MM and League on both of those platforms.

I'm 50/50 TT League and TT tournament. I have a FUMBBL account and Cyanide client but I don't really use either. The game loses something online for me, the tactile experience of handling minis and the clack of dice are big draws.

Rarely play anymore.
Did some tourneys, ran a local BB TT league at the local game club, but that has closed down (a few years ago).
Selling off most of my stuff.

Table top:
- i try to be play at 6 tourneys per year
- i'm in a league (1 game every 2 weeks), first time we are trying to do a "long format" (9 players, only one division, with 1st and 2nd legs: so 16 games per teams)
Fumbbl:
- not so regular, i could see weeks without any timeslot to play, then weeks with like 4 or 5 ranked games.
- i played my first league this year in fumbbl (the French BB League with several divisions, 7 games then playoffs): 2 season per year are planned.
Cyanide:
- i have only dungeonbowl, and i played just 3 games this year (not enough time for this...)

I've never played so manytable top games compare to onligne games these last months.
but i'm pretty sure the amount of onligne games is still bigger (my estimation is like 50-60 table games possible in a year, and around 120-150 on fumbbl...)

I would rather play on TT obviously, but FUMBBL is fantastic for quickness and availability.

Is there a TFF league of some sort on FUMBBL? I've played exactly one game on the site, but I find getting games to be a little time-consuming, and a league where I "knew" people and could schedule games in advance would be nice.

I disagree. Most folks playing Ranked/Box/MM are too busy power gaming to bother reading this pole. :D
