My gut feeling is that you can't.

1. Must be adjacent to the enemy player involved in the block
So while normal rules apply for the block against your own team, to assist your player must be adjacent to an enemy player. In the case of blocking a friendly player, this is not the case and so they cannot assist.

Absolutely correct, Vanguard.
Assist can only be given against enemy players.
The proper rules have been quoted for this.

And is it possible to help an enemy ?

For exemple, my opponent block his goblin with his ball&chain. He get 3 dices.
Can I use my players to assist against the ball&chain and reduce the nomber of block dices ?

According to this part of the rules, you actually can refuse to assist the block wih adjacent players although they are eligible to do so.
So yes, if the three dice block came from assists, you can reduce it by not assisting.

Again, you cannot assist players from the other team.

Is the point of this question for chainpushing and surfing? never really thought about it before but it is interesting considering 3/6 dice on a friendly gobbo is going to result in a push.

Generally for when the B&C misses the opponent and hits a neighbouring gobbo :)
